BBMEC was organized for the first time in its long history in East Asia and was successfully executed by our dear Korean colleagues. Since the Korean scientific community is well-known for its expertise in biosensors and microanalytical techniques, it was a great choice for this inaugural event. The conference was well-received and will lead to further events in coming years bringing together the European and East Asian bioanalytical sensor communities.
